Holiday Shopping

It is being predicted that online shopping for the holidays will begin earlier and increase by a third over recent years due to rising COVID-19 cases in the US. Although not ideal, it does provide an opportunity for your online shopping to benefit people living with spina bifida. Kroger and Amazon both have programs that return a percentage of the dollars you spend to your favorite charity. SONYA OPPENHEIMER, MD

It is with a heavy heart we share that a Cincinnati Spina Bifida champion, Sonya Oppenheimer, MD, passed away on Friday, October 23rd after a fractured hip resulted in a hospital stay and subsequent hospice care. Payroll Protection Program Loan

SBCC is pleased to announce that we are the recipients of a COVID-19 Small Business Administration (SBA) Stimulus Package Payroll Protection Program Loan.  This loan is designed to provide incentives to small businesses and nonprofits to keep their employees on the payroll.  The SBA will forgive the loan if all employees are kept on the payroll for eight weeks, and the proceeds are used for payroll, rent, mortgage interest or utilities.  As you may recall, because of the COVID-19 effects on the organization, we made the difficult decision to reduce our Program Manager, Diane Burns' hours; this loan will allow ...
